1. influence - 간접적인 영향

She was influenced by a lot of other musicians.
그녀는 다른 많은 뮤지션들에게서 영향을 받았다.

• 보통 'be influenced by' 수동태 형태로 사용됨.

Other musicians had a lot of influence on her and her music.
다른 뮤지션들이 그녀에게 많은 영향을 끼쳤어요.

2. affect - 직접적인 영향

• 동사이기 때문에 명사로는 'effect'를 활용하여 'have an positive / negative effect on'  
• Television can have both positive and negative effects on children.

She had spent her whole life in Korea. So when she moved overseas, it affected her a lot.
그녀는 평생을 한국에서 살아서 외국으로 이사를 갔을 때 영향을 많이 받았어.

• 수동태로 She was heavily affected by that.

The worsening economy is affecting everyone.
악화되고 있는 경제가 모두에게 영향을 끼치고 있다.

• Everyone is affected by the worsening economy. (수동태로 표현 가능, 'be affected by')
